Well designed and easy to assemble. We did 2 pergolas in 2 days. Upper Midwest weather so we will see how well they hold up over time, but so far Im happy with quality, ease to assemble, and construction. We raised ours to clear windows and could level them to house instead of concrete. My one complaint is that Mirador should have leg extensions for this with leveling feature, and also a longer crank handle.

I just finished assembling the 10x10 pergola. It went together very easy. I had my neighbor help me stand up the four poles to connect the cross beams but other than that, I did everything myself. They included extra hardware incase I dropped something which is very nice. The only thing I didn't like were the anchors. The drill bit supplied didn't fit my hammer drill and I don't like the sleeve anchors, so I went out and bought some screw anchors which I think work much better.

We love ours, very sturdy, well made, customer service is outstanding.Ours had several luvers that were damage and the company took care of sending the replacement quickly.

great product and very happy with the purchase

We've had this for a little over 2 years now and still very happy with the product. We leave the louvers open in the winter and have had ZERO issues with snow accumulating on the top (this includes twice this past winter with two storms dropping nearly 24" of heavy wet snow) so don't believe the scare tactic of other videos against this product...leave the louvers open, it'll handle winters just fine. We aren't seeing any rust on any of the components and it's just as sturdy now as it was when we first installed it. I don't know that we've had 60+ mph wind gusts, but it has handled 40-50 fine. The only problems were with shipping where it looks like a forklift hit the side of the box putting a slight dent in one of the louvers and be careful putting in the louver end caps because the screw tops can break off (we had one). All-in-all, it's a pretty impressive product especially when you compare with alternatives.

Shocked at the Value/Quality

This was the most expensive item I've bought on Amazon, and I felt like it was huge gamble, but it worked out really well. I don't typically write reviews, but I figured Id go ahead and write one for this because I like it so much. I threw up some pictures during construction and of the mostly finished product, because I wouldn't trust my review if I was someone else without it.

After calling around locally in Chicago to get prices that were ridiculously expensive or finding other pre fabricated pergolas online that were double the price, I decided to take the gamble and purchase this. I really lied the modern look. As of now Ive had it installed for over a full year and have actually run dimmable LED strip lights along the horizontal cross members that looks super sharp. Literally the day after I finished building it we had tornado alarms going off and I was worried about the wind, but it was fine by the time I came home and has sense survived a full winter and lots of wind.

Only issue I have after a year is that the chrome on the thing that spins to open the louvers has started to peel a little bit, but other then that, everything has held up. I typically leave the louvers open when not in use so the wind doesn't get under it and possibly damage anything. They even sent an extra louvre blade, not sure if that was intentional, but I stored it under my deck in case I ever need it.

Very sturdy

The day we installed it, later had severe weather condition that night with 70mph wind. A month later it still standing still. It definitely has the best value for money. Installation was easy and quick.

Easy but bolts are tough

Great product but the bolts that come with don't have the sizing. Bought a half in bit but bolts were smaller in diameter. Got a 1/2 inch bolts.

Great buy!

I've been watching this pergola for almost a year, and decided to bite the bullet and make the purchase. I'm so glad we did! We have been on a mission to turn our backyard into usable space.

We got the 10x13 which is perfect for our patio furniture. As you can see, we got 2 chairs, a love seat, and a sofa in there.

As far as assembly goes, it came in 3 very large boxes. It wasn't difficult per say, but we definitely needed more than one person to hold the legs while it went together. It took 3 of us about 3 hours to put together. But we worked on it over the course of 2 days. The louvers are the most time consuming part of assembly, but I promise it will be worth it!

Looking forward to adding curtains for more privacy. My family loves this extra living space. I can't wait for it to warm up a bit more. We will be using this area a lot this summer!

Totally worth it!

I saw some comments about delivery, I think they hired a third party company, and I had no issue with them. Called me a day ahead and gave me a time window. The guy was nice to put them in the driveway that wont block our car (had other delivery guy just put them in the middle of the drive way)

Assembly was easy too. Took my husband and I about 4 hours to assemble. Did need two extra hands to hold, but it was super easy!

Looks better than on line photos

We are very pleased with the sturdiness and appearance of this product. It was affordable and looked nice on line. The finish of the paint was super smooth and had no dents. When received it quickly and put it together in a day. We really like the adjustable shade and was glad we bought it. We will buy another shade for a different side. The only draw back as noted in the photos was a a couple of screws were stripped and we couldn't get them all the way in. Otherwise it was pretty easy to assemble.

What a deal

I live in the Pacific Northwest. Needed a good waterproof cover for my deck. But also a way to view the stars on a nice summer evening. Got a bid from a few contractors to install a custom pergola like this. 20x12. 28,000 was the average bid. This one covers all but 2 feet of my deck. But for a $25k savings. Its perfect. Install truly was not bad. Two ladders and my power drill. Took me a day and a half. Appx 9 hours total. But I did it completely by my self. And I'm a over weight 48 year old car sales person. So if I can. You can!

It looks great, very sturdy, metal does not get too hot [even though black], easy to use. Need 3 people to assemble.

Great Pergolas

Very nice system, I was able to combine two 20 x 10 pergolas together to create a 20 x 20 louvered patio area. The steel 4x6 frame I created my self with custom 4x4 posts welded together. All around great product Id recommend to buy if considering any of the sizes.

Great pergola for the price!

We were looking for a pergola to cover our outdoor kitchen. We loved the idea of the louvers. We attached the posts to concrete footers and placed pavers around the posts. It is very sturdy as we have had some 60+ mile per hour winds come through without any issues. The color is bronze. It does stay very dry underneath when the louvers are closed. A great value for the price! We love this pergola!

What a great addition to our patio

Looks amazing, Very sturdy, smooth mechanism. You do need at least 2 strong people .It is heavy and will not fit on the electric tail gate of a truck. Our delivery driver couldnt help so it took 3 of us to slide it off the truck to get it in the garage. Where we could take individual pieces out one at a time.

Exactly what we needed!

We were needing some way to cover our outdoor furniture and began with a large umbrella. That just didn't do the trick so we returned it and opted for this. However, before we settled on Sorara's, we saw one the same size at a local 'spa' place. The listed price (which included installation that wasn't an option to refuse) was $4600. I decided to go with this one because it was almost half the price and after building and using it it is almost exactly the same. The overall build quality is equal. The only difference seems to be this has no tracks for potential sliding screens/curtains. No biggie. As for building it, it takes 2 people to at least stand the two frame sides and then hold in place to attach the tie legs. Once it's standing, the rest can be done by one person. There are some 23 or 24 blades that get very repetitive but it's easy and just takes patience. Here's a tip --- ONLY USE A DRILL WITH A CLUTCH! The stainless screws are easily broken off if you use too much force. My impact driver blew off the first 2 screw heads. I then used my smaller screw drill with the clutch set to level 8 which made the rest of the build fly since I didn't have to worry about being careful. But it works perfectly, built very well, and I thought packaged very well. The shipper was a clown show having promised on 2 different deliver dates a 4 hour window they missed both days, but that's not Sorara's fault.

A great product that has changed our patio!

I looked long and did a lot of research to pick a pergola for my patio. We had a bad sun issue and had to do something. I looked at traditional wood pergolas but i simply wasn't convinced that they would block out enough sun, as we face directly south. This system, which allows you to fully open and close the roof, was PERFECT. The assembly was much easier than I expected - took me and my wife about 5 hours to assemble, and we're no spring chickens. I did add an aftermarket roll-up shade on the western edge for late evening sun, and hung lights, but took this picture before that. It's really a beautiful addition to our home, and I can heartily recommend it.

Awesome pergola, but beware color

This pergola is sturdy, looks great, and was easy to assemble. I have already recommended to friends. Took two people about five hours, with two helpers just when we lifted the top cross bars. Its easy, but a little tedious. You will want a power tool for the many screws on the louvers.
However, be advised that the color is not as stated. Listing said dark bronze and box said black. The color was actually charcoal grey. For me, it perfectly matched my house and I could not be happier with it. But you may be disappointed if you wanted the bronze.

It's great and pretty fast to put up

My wife and I really enjoyed this project. It was a little too short for what we wanted so we poured some concrete footers with j bolts in the concrete using the base template for the bolts spacing. It adds about 20" and that makes it feel high enough to add lights without them feeling like they're going to hit you in the head. It's very important to follow instructions. The 2 sections are slightly different by design and I didn't realize it until I had gone too far (I thought both sections would be mirror images, which was my fault) . I had to partly disassemble it due to me not following the directions. Once I fixed that, everything went very smoothly. There is a little lip on the inside for hooks that we were able to hang lights on with s hooks. It makes our back porch a much better place to be and we can control how much sun we'd like to get because of the shutters. I would definitely recommend, especially if you plan to do something to add height to it.
