What is a “point concrete foundation”?
A point foundation means that each post is supported by its own small concrete footing, instead of pouring one large concrete slab for the entire area.
For example:
● 4 posts → 4 concrete footings
● 6 posts → 6 concrete footings
Why is it especially suitable for an aluminum pergola?
Because aluminum pergolas have three natural advantages:
1. Lightweight → no need for a full concrete slab
2. Well-structured design → loads are concentrated on the posts
3. Built-in base plates → easy to secure to concrete footings
That’s why a point foundation is the perfect solution:
It saves cost while still ensuring excellent stability.
How do you secure a Mirador pergola to the ground?
Your Mirador pergola comes with anchor bolts that allow you to fix it securely to any flat concrete surface.
Standard Installation Method (Practical Guide)
Step 1 | Prepare the installation area
Clear away debris, stones, and plants. Make sure the ground is level and free of obstacles.
Step 2 | Assemble the posts
Follow the instructions to assemble the four pergola posts one by one. Use the proper tools and hardware to fasten them securely.
Step 3 | Position the posts
Place the posts in their designated positions, keeping the spacing consistent. Align them according to the drawings and use a level to make sure everything is straight.

Step 4 | Secure the posts (concrete footing)
Dig holes at the post positions.
Hole depth: At least 50 cm deep → pour in concrete → wait until it is fully cured → place the posts on top and fasten them with anchor bolts.

Step 5 | Install the beams and rafters
Once the posts are securely in place, install the beams and rafters onto the posts. Follow the instructions and use the recommended fasteners to secure everything firmly.

Step 6 | Install the louvers / slats
Attach the louvers (or slats) to the structure to provide shade and sun protection. Make sure they are properly aligned and securely fixed.
Step 7 | Final inspection and adjustment
Check whether the pergola is level and the structure is stable. If you notice any misalignment, adjust it promptly.
Step 8 | Routine maintenance
Clean and inspect the pergola regularly. Tighten any loose parts and repair damage in time to extend its service life.
